Herbal Liver Detox Coffee - Milk Thistle Seed & Dandelion Root
 
Herbal Liver Detox Coffee is a blend of Milk Thistle Seed, Dandelion Root, Rose Petals + Adaptogenic Chaga Mushrooms. This is a personal caffeine-free blend that I have been using for eight years now. It makes an excellent and extremely potent liver tonic that may stimulate protein synthesis in the liver which in turn helps the formation and growth of healthy new liver cells.
 
Listing is for a 3oz resealable pouch w/ complimentary muslin bag for straining. Each pouch makes approximately 8-10 cups of coffee when used as directed.

To Use: Bring 6-8oz of water (or nut milk) to a rolling boil (if using nut milk rather than water, do not boil, just lightly heat). Scoop 1 heaping tablespoon of herbal coffee blend in reusable muslin bag provided and place in a heat resistant mug- pour boiling water over top of bag, cover and let steep for 5 minutes. When ready, squeeze as much liquid out of muslin bag as possible- this is where all your nutrients are so squeeze, squeeze, squeeze! I usually boil 6oz and fill the rest of my cup up with nut milk, preferably cashew or full-fat coconut. Add sweetener of choice and there ya go!

One Tablespoon = One Cup. You may use up to 2 heaping tablespoons if you like it stronger, but you will need to build up to this over a couple weeks time.

Please note that this coffee is NOT actual coffee and contains ZERO caffeine. It also does not taste like coffee beans and has a very earthy herbal taste.

Chaga Mushrooms + Milk Thistle are considered adaptogenic herbs, meaning they may naturally help the body adapt to stress and hormonal fluctuations, help to strengthen the immune system, fight disease and eliminate persistent fatigue. The Milk Thistle plant has been used both medicinally and as food for well over 2,000 years. History of this herb dates back very far, with special attention paid to the liver. As someone who has liver problems from overuse of antibiotics in the past, I find this plant extremely healing and I have seen a significant difference in allergies and asthma (which both formed as a result of liver damage) since implementing in my diet. While all parts of this plant can be utilized, the seed is what you will find most beneficial. Silymarin is contained only in the seed shell and is extremely rich in antioxidants / anti-inflammatory properties. It has been shown to reverse toxic liver damage and is actually used in European hospitals to protect against hepatotoxic agents (drug-induced liver damage). Amazing plant!
